Outdoor Movie Night

If you're enjoying the end of Southern California's lasting summer heat then you must be like us spending most of our time outdoors. The days are getting shorter and soon we'll be spending more time indoors, so we're spending our early evening outdoors when possible. How is your family making the most of these last days of the summer heat?

With our recent online purchases we have had a lot of cardboard boxes that we wanted to make good use of, so we decided to create a cardbox car for an outdoor movie night. We first constructed the car and then had our daughter go to town with the painting and decorating. Definitely a little messy, so don't forget to lay down a few trash bags for the floor and have a clothes covering for your little one.

Throw up a white sheet and pick out your favorite family film to enjoy with your favorite meal! Our family did our summer favorite with hot dogs, child cheese dogs, french fries, and movie theater concessions.
