Olympics Themed Snacks

Looking for some awesome Olympics themed recipes for your closing ceremony watch party? We’ve got you covered! Even if you haven’t been following the games thus far, watching the closing ceremony could be a fun family activity! It’s a great opportunity to chat with your children about hard work, perseverance, and the amazing things that the human body can do. The closing ceremony is also fun to watch because the performances tend to be beautifully mesmerizing, and it allows children to see different people from around the world (even if just through a screen). But if none of those reasons strikes a chord with your kids, we’re sure these Olympics themed snack ideas will be a hit!

Rings

Take some round crackers and arrange them in Olympic ring formation. Spread some cream cheese on each, and top with foods that correspond with each ring color (cucumbers for green, raisins for black, etc.). Depending on your cracker or cookie, and the toppings you choose, this can be a sweet or savory treat!

Medals

Anyone else a fan of those sour belts we used to get from Sweet Factory when we were kids? Here’s your chance to revisit those treats, using them as the ribbons of your Olympic medals. Get some Golden Oreos and open them up to expose the cream. Stick the ends of the sour belts in the cream, put the other side back on, and you’ll be sure to win the parenting gold medal because your kids will love these!

Torch

We’ve got a healthy and an indulgent version of an Olympic torch snack for you. To encourage veggie consumption, get some cake ice cream cones, squeeze a bit of ranch or hummus into them, and fill with sliced red and yellow peppers. If you don’t mind a bit more sugar, fill the cones with vanilla ice cream and cover your scoop with red, yellow, and orange M&Ms!

Kids always love a good theme (and a good snack), and as these games only happen once every four years (five in this case), we encourage you to pick up some of these simple ingredients this weekend and enjoy these easy Olympics themed recipes at your upcoming watch party!
